Pour Over Brew Guide

Pour Over Brew Guide

Clean, bright and expressive.

The pour over method highlights the unique characteristics of your coffee, bringing out clarity, sweetness and nuanced flavours. Perfect for exploring fruity, floral and complex coffees.

Heat Your Water

Heat filtered water to 93-96°C. If you don't have a thermometer, bring water to a boil and let it rest for 30 seconds.

Rinse Your Filter

Place a paper filter in your dripper and rinse it with hot water. Discard the rinse water.

Grind Your Coffee

Grind 15g of coffee to a medium-coarse consistency (similar to table salt). Add ground coffee to the filer and gently level the bed.

Bloom

Pour 30g of water over the grounds in slow, even circles. Wait 30-45 seconds.

Pour in Stages

First Pour: Slowly pour in circular motions until the scale reads 120g. Final Pour: Continue pouring gently until you reach 240g total water.

Wait and Enjoy

Allow the water to drain completely through the coffee bed. Total brew time should be 3:00–3:30 minutes. Swirl your brew and enjoy.

Taste Adjustments

Too Sour
Grind finer or brew slightly longer.
Too Bitter
Grind coarser or pour slightly faster.
