Aeropress Brew Guide

Aeropress Brew Guide

Smooth, versatile and blanced.

The Aeropress is highly versatile, combining immersion brewing with pressure extraction. It yields a clean, smooth cup with low acidity and bitterness and highlights sweetness, while remaining forgiving for beginners.

Prep the Filter

Place a paper filter in the cap and rinse it with hot water. Lock the cap onto the chamber and place it on a sturdy mug.

Grind

Grind 15g of coffee to a medium-fine consistency (slightly finer than table salt)

Add Water

Add the coffee to the chamber. Pour 250g of hot water (90°C–93°C) over the grounds within 10 seconds.

Stir

Stir gently for 10 seconds to ensure all grounds are evenly wetted.

Steep

Insert the plunger slightly and pull up just a little to create a vacuum seal. Let it steep until the timer reaches 1:30.

Press

Gently press down on the plunger. This should take about 30 seconds. Stop when you hear a slight hissing sound and enjoy.

Taste Adjustments

Too Sour
Grind finer or increase steep time
Too Bitter
Grind coarser or reduce steep time
